SUICIDE AT AUCKLAND.
» fBI Ttl/EQrum — FKK99 48ftO0UTIOB.l AUCKLAND, 1 27 th January. An innuest was held to-day concerning tho death of Ambrose Bearpnrk, which occurred on Tuesday evening. Mary Benrpark, "wife of tho deceased, said her husband came home drunk, ami who remonstrated with hini, 110 replied. "Oh, I will soon end it." Witncts went out, and when fihe camo back her little girl told her that "Father oaid good-byo to me — ho was going to sleep." Witneas prepared Bomo salt and water and offered it to him, but ho knocked it on the floor. JJe had on several occasions beforo taken poison, and sho had then given him Kilt and water. She did not «end for a doctor, as she thought ho would get over it. Some little time before ho died sho found an empty box on tho floor with "poison" marked on it. 'ihero was a prohibition order out against her husband up to tho timo of his death. Dr. Walker said ho was satisfied tho box found had contained arsenic, and tho symptoms were those- of arsenical poisbning. i'ho jury returned a verdict that tho cause of death wns poifloniug by arsenic, self-administered.
