Mr. George Allan M'Millan, of tho Mesopotamia and Cracroft Stations, Mount Somers, who died on Tuesday la*t, wa« born at Contin, Ross-shire, Scotland, in 1832, and come to New Zealand by the «hip Zeulandia in 1859. Ho went to the Cheviot Station, whero ho was Buccocsivcly head shepherd and managar, resigning his position in 1879, when he purchased the Lnko Sumnor Station.
