An attempt to escape from Mouut Eden , Gaol was -made this morning by Willhm Henry Wilcox, who .had served twelve months of five years to which ho was sentenced for houscbrcaking. Wilcox was employed in the gaol as assistant cook, which gave him a little more liberty than most of the prisoners. During breakfast he managed to leave the kitchen without exciting suspicion, and cleared into cover. Later in the day Wilcox was ro- • covered in the precincts of tho prison.
