CHARGES A GAINST A REGISTRAR.
The Electoral Commission continued its enquiry into the charges against the Registrar of Electors (Mr. King) yesterday, when two further witnesses gave evidence as to failing to get on tho City roll after making application at tho time that roll was being compiled. Li.«?t« of tho iinmcs alleged to have Wen wrongfully expunged from the Grey Lynn and City rolls were gone through. Mr. King produced the papers in the- majority ot cases, and in many instances it was shown that, the names had been expungod owing to electors having been transferred on their own application to other districts*, while in other cases the reason given, was thnt of duplication. A lift of liiuripfl on whose behalf the temperance party had put in claims fat tho City wns also partially examined. At the Police Court this morning D. Gibson was sentenced to six month.?' immisoDment for thaf> of a bicycle
