THE BATTLE OF THE CLUBS. Teams from the Central Chib and Commercial Travellers' Club tried conclusions on tho Wellington Bowling Club's green yesterday afternoon. The contest proved very interesting, and resulted in a, win for the Travellers by 45 points. Following are the Fcores : — Commercial Travellers : Bush (skip), D. M' Lean, Newton, and C. Smith, 25. Central Club : Plimmer (skip), Roskruge, Davy, and Roach, 20. Commercial Travellers : Hueston (skip), Price, Hodgson, and Mayer, 25. Central Club: Hicksom (skip), Nicol, Mackay, and Harbroe, 12. Central Club : M'Kerrow (skip), Hey■\vood, Wills, and Davis, 20. Commercial Travellers : Falconer (skip), Veitch, Muir, and Finlay, 18. ' Commercial Travellers: Russell (skip), Grady, Lindsay, and Exley, 30. Central Club : Haybittle (skip), • Flavell, Gasquoine, and Berry, 10. ! Commercial Tiavellers : M'Kee (skip), Maudsley, Mowatt, and C. Hill, 22. Central Club: Penty (skip), E. J. Hill, Tancred, and Knapp, 20. Totals : Commercial Travellers, 127 ; Central Club, 82. A game for the Hill Wednesday badges was played yesterday afternoon on the Victoria Bowling Green, when a challenging rink from Newtown was defeated by 18 points. Holders : Kitto, Baggett, Mayo, Varcoe (skip), 29. Challengers : Shearer, Crewes, Sexton, Roberts (skip), 11.
