AUCKLAND, 10th December. The Otahuhit Trotting Club's Spring Meeting opened to-day at Alexandra Park. There was a good attendance, and the weather was beautifully fine. The totalisator receipts for the day were £1242, in 10s tickets. Results: — Maiden Trot, of 25 soys; one mile. — Victor Hugo, 12sec, 1; Bert, 2Qsec, 2; St. John, 15sec, 3. Durban Ben and K.O. were scratched. Tim 6, 2min 49sec. Dividend, £13 7s. Epsom Pony Handicap, of 35 soys; six and a half furlongs. — Miss Lane, Bst lib (Abbott) 1; Retaliator, 2; Talisman, 3.
