The race was run twice, owing to a false start. On the first occasion, Halberdier beat Glenelg by a head on the post, with Golden Vein third, the time recorded, being 2mui 9 3-ssec. The horses which did not start, owing to half the. barrier not going up, were Siege Gun, Tortulla, Puiiamu, and Fakir, On the second occasion. Only Tortulla, Fleka, Cameo, Fakir, and Punamu faced the starter. Cameo scored by a long neck. Time, 2min 14sec. Dividends, £15 14s 6d and £1 9s. /
