WINNERS AT THE RICCARTON MEETING. • [BY TELEGRAPH — FHESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The following amounts over £500 were won by owners at the C. J. C. Meeting : —Mr. G. G. Stead, £2095; Mr. B. T. Bennett, £1220; Hon.- G. M'Lean, £1070 ; Mr. J. Monk, £920 ; Sir George Clifford, £650; Mr. A. Moss, £580; Mr. Griffen, £565. (FROM OVU OWN CORRESPONDENT.) MASTERTON, This Day. The profit on the late Opaki race meeting amounts to about one hundred pounds. At Saturday's meeting of the club the stewards decided that Mr. W. R. Crawford, owner of Boko, over whiih a dispute aiose, was entitled to the stakes, which had been impounded, and it was resolved to pay them to him. Mr. J. Chisholm claimed a half-interest in the horse. It was decided to forward a recommendation to the conference that the names of persons on the unpaid forfeit list should be removed immediately the arrears were paid. In the handicaps for the Shorts Handicap at the Wellington Spring Meeting, published on page 7, the name of Ostiak, 9sb 51b, should be included.
