« _ LORD HAWKE'S TOUB ABANDONED [press association.! MELBOURNE, 12th Nov. The Secretary of the Melbourne Cricket Club has received a cable message stating that the tour of Lord Hawke'steam of cricketers to New Zealand and Australia has been abandoned. No reason, is given. CHR3STCHURCH, TLSs Day. With reference to the cable message relating to Lord, Hawke's team, Mr. F. C. Raphael, Secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, says he has received no intimation that the tour has been abandoned. The team is supposed to have left England yesterday by me Majestic, there being no information to the contrary. Probably the cablegram refers to the a'bandonmeu't of the Australian portion of tho tour.' ;
