AUCKLAND, 11th April. The Auckland Rugby. Union held its annual meeting to-night. The report stated that except in tho matter of finance the results of last season's football under the control of the union were altogethsr satisfactory. The representative team proved successful in all its engagements thus extending the period during which Auckland has remained unbeaten to five seasons. During that time nineteen matches have been played, sixteen being won and three drawn. The points scored have been 251, as against 64. The statement of accounts shows a loss of £201, which is attributed to the expenses of the Southern tour, tho bad weather experienced during cup matches, and the fact that there was only one important mutch played in Auckland, the major portion of the proceeds of which went to the New Zealand Rugby Union. The ground trust fund now stands at ±52100, including al) accrued interest to date. Mr. 0. E. M'Cormick was elected secretary and Mr. C. V. Longford treasurer. At a meeting held at Kaiwarra last night, it was decided to form a Rugby football club, to compete for tho Thirdclass Championships. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —Patron, Mr. T. M. Wilford j President, Mr. J. Holmes, jun. } Vice-Presidents, Meisrs. W. Holmes, F. M'Qovern,' and J. Ohitterton ; Captain, iur. T. Thorly ; Vice Captain, Mr. J. Smith ; Management Committee-, Messrs. Thorly, J. Smith, D. Round, J. Eigles, J. TilL J. Bevans, and J. Fitzgerald ; Match Committee, the Captain, Vice-Captain, and Mr. J. Eagles; Hon. Coach, Mr. J. Flaws ; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr. J. E Fitzgerald.
