KARORI RIFLE CLUB. The above-named club held competitions for ' trophies on Saturday. Messrs. J. Burns, H. Hawthorne, ana H. Head each secured a "leg-in." The. highest scores weres—
The leading aggregates (counting five matches) are H. Head 303, J. Burns 301, H. Hawthorne 296. Counting the seven matches fired the aggregates are— H. Head 109, H. Hawthorne 405, J. Burns 401. The final match for the aggregate will be fired next Saturday. Hawthorne and Head are members of the Bisley team. D BATTERY. The fifth competition for the belt and other prizes was held at Trentham on Saturday. The conditions w«re 300, 600, and 600 yards, 7 shots at each distance. The highest scores were: — 300. 500. 600. Hdc. Tl. Sergt. Skelly ... 29 33 29 0— 91 Q.M.-Sgt. King 26 33 25 0— 84 Bomb. White ... 27 29 26 2— 84 Corpl. Baker ... 28 27 22 0- 77 The highest aggregate in four matches out of five fired are— Skelley 343, Kitig 321, Petherick 319. There are two more matches to fire.
