"WllTD— Strong from botween south nnd east and north-east at all places north of East Cape, Tanpo, and Kaglan ; decreasing: easterly gale on the coast between Nitpiei- nnd East Cape ; moderate south to east and north-east wiucta elsewhere Babombtku— Bise everywhere Sea— Decreasing on both coasts Tides— High on east const from Napier northwards; moderate elsewhere Bain is probable at places on the east'ooast from Castlepoint northward avMOPHIS OF I.4HT 48 HOUItS. Northward of Napier and New Plymouth pressure decreased slowly until about midnight on Sunday, and has since then risen slowly, and in other parts of the eooulry it has risen steadily siuce early on Sunday. Strong gales from the southward have been experienced on the enst coast southward of East Cupe, with hail and rain, and the weather generally has been colder. Low pressure from west is due at the meridian of South Cape about the 29th nist B. A. EDWIN.
