She had a fine run down to East Cape, but from there to Cape Falliaer a northerly gale was blowing. The Bimulaka has 1800 tons of general cargo for Welliugtoii. Owing to the Botorua being lai'l up and unable to male her projected run to I.jttelton on Saturday, tho Kotoinuhnna left for the southern port at 2 o'clock yesterduy afternoon. She suited ngain on the return journey at 8.40 this morning, and on arrivnl here will take in her passengers and return South at once. The Botorua will take up her usual Picton and Nelson run on Thursday. By Press Association messages we nre ndvised that the barque Acacia, which sailed from Kaipara on 18th February, arriTed at Melbourne on Saturday ; the Eakuia, whioh sailed from this port on 9rd January, arrived at London on Friduy, and tho Mornyshire, which left Port Clmlmeis on Bth January, reached London abo on Friduy. The New Zealand Shipping Company is having another new steamer, llie Ruapehu, built by Messrs Denny Bros., Dumbarton. Siio will be a trifle longer than the Bimulaka, au<l, it is expected, or greater speed, though her carrying capacity will be less by 200 tons. Tho vessel should be ready to sail for the colony about the middle of the current year.
