A Northern Wairoa correspondent reports that William Hutton, an old resident of Kaihu, brougTit from tlio coast last week an electric incandescent lamp, with wire attached to it. The lamp was picked up on the beach" near Maunganui Bluff, while several more wero also found, with a large quantity of timber. The lamp has the brand of the White Star line upon it— a flag with "Whito Star Line" printed over it. There is also printed on the lamp "Ediswan 100. 16. A. 64." Hutton has timber enough to build a house. Large quantities of Avreckage wero still drifting on to the beach when he left. The White Star vessels often carry a considerable quantity of timber.
