Ringdove, which arrived' in port on Saturday, has been on a , six months' cruise among the islands of the Western, Pacific. On one island, in the Santa Cruz group the Union Jack has been hauled down, a native woman having commandeered it for wearing apparel. An earthquake in the group destroyed a number of houses. The officers succeeded in finding the grave of Jbiahop Epalle, who was murdered at Ysabel Island in 1845.
