The gold found is all course, in rich patches on the bed, ■which is covered with sugar quartz and rough stones. From ono patote 24ft long, Bft deep, and 61'fc wide, 50oz of gold was obtained, or equal, roughly, to over an ounce to the yard. Tho current is very strong, and sweeps everything before it, sending the finer gold and stones down on the flat below.
The excursion steamer DuchesH-will run to Pay's Bay to-morrow afternoon at the usual hour.
