ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
A wharf labourer named John Hunter, about 55 years of age, was found dead in bed at tho Wellington Dining Rooms, Lambton-quay, at 10 o'clock thus morning. Deceased, who is believed to be single, went to bed about 10 last night, after bidding the landlady goodnight, and was found as stated. The body was removed to the Morgue, and an inquest would probably be held this afternoon. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances about the death.. James Martin, a railway guard stationed at the Upper Hutt, "had three ribs broken on Thursday evening whilst levering a truck.
Messrs: Maodonald, Wilson and' Co. have been instructed by the executors of the late Mr. J. 0. Sly, wh,o have sold the farm, to sell on the properly, Otaki, on Friday, 3rd August, the whole of the highgrade dairy cows, young stock, farm implements, traps and harness, dairy requisites, etc. The firm also announces for its next land sale, to bo held on Thursday, 2nd August, a valuable business block in Willis-street and a splondid property in Drummond-stroot, ' with lnrgo frontage and depth, suitable for subdivibional purposes. A small farm property of 25 acro3 is advertised for private sale. The firm's list of city properties for private sale is also published.
