CHIEF JUSTICE GRIFFITH ON THE APPEAL PROBLEM. (Received May 31, 8.55 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. Sir Samuel Griffith, Chief Justice of Queensland, has been interviewed with regard to the present position of the Commonwealth Bill. He said that the so-called compromise on the appeal question, instead of preserving or limiting the proposed restriction upon appeals to the Privy Council, abolishes appeal in the most important of all cases, in which i| was preserved under the draft Bill.
