OUR DEFENCE FORCES.
The large room in Mount Cook Barracks which the Defence Department has placed at the disposal of the D Battery is being fitted up very comfortfibly, and will shortly be opened. The Battery is establishing a library in the room, and has received donations of books from several citizens. Master-Gunner Richardson instructed the D Battery in fire discipline at Mount Cook la'-t night. Good practical work AViis done.
