Tho .following are the official uqotations of the Frozen Meat Trade Association for mutton and lamb in lots of 100 carcases of fair avorago quality: — Mutton — Wow Zealand eros-bred wethers and maiden ewes, Canterbury, unchanged, at 3 l-16d per lb; Dunedin and Southland, unchanged, at 2 13-16 d; North Island, l-16d lower, at 2|d. River Plate crossbred or merino wethers, heavy unchanged at 2 11-lod; light, $d lower at 2 9-16 d. Lamb — Prime Canterbury, unchanged at 4£d per lb; fair average (including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington, and secondary Canterbury), id lower, at 3Jd. SKINS AND LEATHER. Hides are flat, and no sales have been effected ; basils are unchanged, and Australian leather has sold at an advance of one farthing. DAIRY PRODUCE MARKET. The Department of Agriculture has reoeived the following cable message from the Agent-General as to the state of the dairy produce market: — Bu'ter, 98s; market unfavourable ; buyers are very shy. There is a good demand for cheese. Shipments ex as. Kumara, 58s. MosBrs. Haigh and Morrah report as under: — Wo held our weekly horse sale | on Saturday, a good number of horses ! being entered, nearly all of which were sold readily. Medium draughts realised £18 to £26 10s ; useful harness horses, £10 5s to £16 10s; aged horses and hacks, from £5. Several useful harness horses were held over for private sale. Messrs. Abraham and Williams report as to Thursday' b sale at Palmerston : — We had a full yarding of both sheep and catlie, and a large attendance. Bidding was lively throughout the sale. Everything was sold under the hammer with the exception of a pen or two of young steers. One line of 2400 wethers realised 10s 9d to lls ; and another line of Romney 2 and 4-tooth ewes made 10s to 10s Id. Lambs were keenly competed for and sold readily. We quote : Fat bullocks, £6 Is : forward bullocks, £5 17s ; 3 and 3^-year steers, £4 16s to £4 17s ; 3-year steers, £4 to £4 3s; 2i-year Bteers, £3 10s to £3 14s; 18-month steers, £2 16s 6d ; 18- ! month empty heifers, £2 10s ; weaners, 1 £2 ; fat cows, £3 7s 6d to £3 19s ; cows and calves, £3 10s to £4 ; store cows, £2 to £2 6s ; forward wethers, 10s 8d to 11a; 2 and 4-tooth maiden owes, 10s; to 10d Id ; 4-tooth maidon ewes, 10s 7d ; fat ewes, 8s sd ; 2-tooth ewes, 9s ; shorn lambs, rT s lid to 8s ; small lambs, 6s Id ; woolly lambs, 8s 8d; full-mouth ewes, 7s 6d ; fat and forward ewes, lls Id ; woolly 2-tooths, 13s Id ; pure-bred weanor pigs, £1 Is; porkers, 15s.
