HOLIDAY EXCURSION TICKETS, available for return until Tuesday, 30th January, 1900, will be obtainablo from any station to any station ou the Wellington-Napier-New Plymouth Section (excepting in cases whore ordinary fares ore less) from Monday, "18th December, 1899, to Tuesday, 2nd January, 1900. The period for which these tickets aro available for return may bo extonded for a further 14 days on payment of the difference in value botween an ordinary single ticket and half the excursion fare. Persons desiring nu extension of tiino must apply at the station to which the original ticket was isauod, on or before 30th January. They are available for break of journey at any station, at which train is timod to stop, over 25 miles from issuing station. NOTE.— On Saturdays, 23rd and 30th December, speoial trains for Masterton will leave Te Aro at 8.0 a.m. and (5.25 p.m., and Wellington at 8.15 a.m. and 6.42 p.m. ; and a Bpocial train will leave Masterton for Te Aro at 5.20 p.m. These trains "will stop at all sta/'-na if required. On those two dates Holiday F.xoursion Tickets from Te Aro, Upper Hutt, and intermediate Btations — to Featherston, Grey town, Masterton, and intermediato stations, and from Masterton, Groylown, Featherston, and intermediate stations— to stations couth thereof, will not be available for mail trains. The train leaving To Aro at 6.25 p.m., and Wellington at 0.42 p.m., will connect at Masterton with a traiu for Woodville. Tho Te Aro to Napier mail train will not stop at flag stations botween Lower Hutt and Masterton except to tako up pass£,.gers for stations north of Masterton. The Napier to Te Aro mail train will noi stop at flag stations south of Mastorton. Passengers from »ovth of Masterton for such flag stations must transfer to the\ r jpecial train leaving Masterton for Te Aro at 5.20 p.m. ( NOTE.— On 26th December Hind Ist January Holiday Excursion Tickets, outward or return, from Te Aro, Wellington, Kaiwarra, Ngahauranga, Petone, and Lower Hutt to Featherston, Greytown, Kurupuni, and intermediate stations will not be available by north mail train. Holiday Excursion Tickets will not be available from Tekapau, Ormondville, or MakoUiku to Dannevirke, nor from Masterton, Greytown, Featherston, or intermediate stations, to stations south thereof, by south mail train. The To Aro to Napier mait train will not stop at flag stations between Cross Creek and Masterton, except to take up. passengers for Btations north of Masterton. The Napier to Te Aro mail train will not stop at flag stations between Hastings and Dannevirke, nor at flag stations houth of 'Matterton; passengers from stations north of Masterton to such flag stations must transfer to tho train leaving Masterton for Te Aro at 5.0 p.m. A special train will leave Te Aro for Mastorton at 7.48 a.m., and Wellington at 8.5 a.m, (this train will not stop at Belmont, Upper Hutfc, or intermediate stations) ; and a retuiui train will leavo Masterton at 5.0 p.m. On Ist January the special train leaving To Aro at 7.48, and Wellington at 8.5 a.m., will take Featherslon and Mastorton passengers only. A second special train for Maslorton, taking passengers for all intermediate stations, will leavo Te Aro at 9 a.m. and Wellington at 9.15 a.m. A second spocial traiu for Te Aro, taking up passengers from Maaterton and Fe«therstou only, and stopping at other stations only to put down passengers, will leavo Mastorton at 5.45 p.m., and Foathorston at 7.5 p.m., and arrivo at Te Aro at 10.57 p.m. For Local Excursion Fares and Fares in connection with Races, Picnics, &c, and for full train arrangements, see posters, handbills, or later advertisements.
