NEW ZEALAND POLO ASSOCIATION.

A general meeting of tho New Zealand Pelo Association w.is hold last Friday. Delegates iiom the following auiiuited clubs were pi eaent: —Messrs U. A. Cooper (Hawera), R. 11. Rhodes (ChristchurcJi), E. D. O'Korke (Auckland), Major Madoeks (Hawkes Bay), Hon. C. Hill-'lrevor (Rangitikei), .Messrs. C. P. Skerrett (Te Ami), I. K. Baldwin (Orua), A. Crawford (Miuiawatu), H. F. Johnston (Horowhenua), H. Cooper (Waingaaro), Captain Ward iniids), Mr. Skoruat (Wellington). Mr. R. 11. Rhodes was voted to the chair. Tho following resolutions wero carried : — On the motion of Auckland and seconded by Oiua— "That the standard height of pu'.o ponies in Now Zealand be raked to 14 hands 1 inch fn place of the existing height of 14 hands. Hawom, seconded by Wellington— "That tho best willow balls bo adopted by the Association at tho tmirmunityt in piaco of tho root balls used at present." By Wellington, and seconded by Hawenv— " That all ponios at present on tho register or entitled to bo on tho register, shall bo deemed to bo passed without tho necessity of being remeasured." By Auckland, and seconded by Wellington — " Thnt copies of tho revised rules measurement of ponies be sent to clubs for their information pending publication of revised rules," By Hnwora, and seconded by Orua— "That tho Secretary make tvriangemonts with some linn to obtain an iinmediato supply of 1000 willow balls from J. Salter, Aldershot." A vote of thanks to tho Chairman concluded the meeting. A meeting of tho Management Committee was hoid subsequently. It was considered unnecessary to make any recommendations to various c'.ubs in regard to the Polo Cup. MewiiN. R. H. Rhodes and E. D. O'Rorko wero appointed a sub-com-mittee to havo the rules revised and reprinted.
