Huddart-Parlier and Co's new steamer Moorabool, recentiy built at Blyth, is of the cargocarrying type. She was launched from the shipbuilding works of the Blyth Shipbuilding Co, Limited, Blyth, on 30lh January, and is described ab a siecl hcrew Gleanici- of the following dimensions: — Length, 3:i7f t ; breadth, 47ft; and depth, 2dt't loin. She is designed to carry a large cargo on a light draught of water. She is classed 100 Al at Lloyds, and is built on the three-deck principle, with single dock laid, deep framing, and has bridge amidships with houhe on top for cabin accommodation. The engines will be supplied niul fitted by Messrs Blair and Co, Ltd, of Stock-ton-on-I'ees, and are of the triple-expansion type of large power, to pass Lloyd's and Board of Trade regulations. The ceremony of naming her Moorabool was porf orued by Mrs W. Cuminhig, wife of the superintendent of Uie company. BY TELEGRAPH.
