The Supremo Court calendar comprises '39 charges against 14 prisoners, including five offences against young girls. The case against Arthur BlackAVood, charged with obtaining goods under false pretences, brokedown, accused being discharged. G. H. Ennis pleaded Guilty to stealing stamps to the value of £259, the property of Ihe Government. He was remanded I'll Thursday. Valdeniar Ericksen also pleaded Guilty of breaking and entering, rind was remanded for sentence. John J(»nspii Gibson, charged with forgery, Avas admitted to probation on paying £5 as costs. Frederick Do Lacey, an elderly man, was charged Avith indecent assault upon a girl eight years of age. The jury failed to agree, and after sitting four hours they were discharged, and a fresh trial Avas ordered. The Grand Jury found No Bill in the case of two young men named Green and Pocock, a\lio were charged with indecent assault. Napier, This Day. At ihe Supreme Court, Michael Foggerty Avas sentenced to six months' imprisonment for Uie theft of a cash box from the Star Hotel.
