"VfOTICE is hereby given that ALBERT j\ VICTOR JAMES LOCKIE, of Napier, in the Provincial District of Hawkes Bay, Gentleman, but now residing at Johannesburg, in South Africa, did on the 6th day of January, 1899, present a Petition to the Supreme Court of- New Zealand, at Wellington, praying that an order might be made by the said Court vesting .in him, as Devisee and Trustee under the Will of his lato wife, Ann Isabel Lockie, docoasecl, a general power of granting leases for terms of years not exceeding thirty-five years in possession, and of entering into and making prelimianry contracts to grant suoh leases of the said parcel of land, eithor as a wholo or in subdivisions, subject to such conditions as the said Court should think fit. And that the costs of the Petitioner, and of all other persons served with or properly appearing as Respondents to the said Petition of and incidental to the said Petition, might be taxed, and when taxed might be a charge upon the said parcel of laud.
