Wind— Gale from north-east to north and west at all places northward of Napier and New Plymouth, and strong from the same direction elsewhere Barometer— Fall everywhere Si:a — Heavy on both coasts Tidks— Generally hijrh Bain is to be expected northward of Kaikoura and HoMtika, and is probable from thence southward STNOFSIS OF LAST 24 HOTJRS. _ FalliHgr barometer everywhere, but it has also risen a little south of Timaru and Queeuatown during the night. Much rain has fallen south of Napier and Wausranui, accompanied by strong to heavy gales from the northward, but the weather has continued fine in the north K. A. EDWIN.
