The Lyttelton Times states that Mr. John O'Malley, of Geraldine, Avho was clerk to the Amuri County Council for many years, will contest the Ashley seat at the general election. Mr, O'Malley is a supporter of the present Government. The public on the look-out for first-class ironmongery at exceptionally low prices will do well to' look up George Windor, ironmonger, Lower Cuba-street, his English and American buyers having sent forward some very heavy shipments at the close of the year. He is terribly overstocked, and must turn thoße goods into cash at once, and will therefore offer those new fresh goods at astonishing low prices for cash only.
