For New Zealand oats the demand at present is Black, and the few parcels on offer met with little attention in spite of a reduction in prices. Messrs. Transactions on c.i.f. terms have hoen fairly large ; some sales have been made at Sis 6d to 22s per cwt for mutton tallow, and 20s to 21s for beef and mixed close at hand. There will be no more public sales this year; the next is fixed for 4th January. To suit the convenience of buyers tho next sales of rabbit skins will be held on the 21st insc, instead of the 23rd, a& originally intended ; only about 700 bale-* will be available. The market for salted lades id unchanged.

For the want of a ha'porth of tar, the boat has been spoilt. When first built it was as buoyant as a cork. Had it been kept clean and in good working order it would still be so. So would the dyspeptic's stomachic arrangements be in good working order if ho would but try Nurse Woodward's Health Syrup. Sold by all Chemists at 2» 6d per bottlo, — AUvfc.
