The young man John Day. who pleaded guilty some days ago to a charge of theft of goods from his employers, Stewart and Co. , Avas brought before Justices this afternoon for the report of the Probation Officer. After consideration of the report, the Bench convicted the accused and fined him £2, Avith costs 15s, and administered words of good advice to him, hoping that this punishment Avould deter himself, and be a Avarning to others in places of trust.
