The committee of the Auckland Amateur Cycling Club has decided to instruct its delegates to the New Zealand Cyclists' Alliance to vote for the removal of the headquarters to Auckland. At the District Court this morning William Gifford pleaded Guilty to convening a cheque to his own use, and was admitted to probation for 12 months, and also ordered to repay the amount of the cheque (£7) and costs of the prosecution. Gifford got the cheque from a mate to change, but got on a drinking bout and spent the money, and, becoming frightened, ran away.
