[press association.] New Plymouth, This Day. A fatal accident occurred on the main road near Pungarehu this morning. An old Maori woman named liahiri and her son in a light gig were passing an express driven by Mr. Ringham, of Hawera, when the gig I went over a big stone. The woman was thrown out under the express, the wheels of which passed over her, killing her instantaneously. She was a widowof the wellknown chief Hone Pihama. Woodville, This Day. The Anglers' Association on Saturday decided to make an effort to have a Bush Acclimatisation Society formed.
