[PBESS AiSSOCIATION.] Candia, 24th September. •Admiral Noel, commander of the British squadron in Cretan waters, will try the ringleaders in the recent riots by court-martial. DETERMINED ACTION BY THE POWERS. THEY WILL JOINTLY PACIFY THE ISLAND. (Received September 26, 8.50 a.m.) London, 25th September. Renter's Agency reports that Great Britain, Russia, France, and Italy are about to sign an agreement for the pacification of Crete. The terms of their agreement will be conveyed as an ultimatum to the Sultan, and unless he entirely agrees to it the Powers will enforce its acceptance.
