At clause 0 Mr. il. llutcheson, tho member in charge, moved to add a new proviso Io the effect that if within live years tho Clovrriunent did not erect a Customhouse or other (Jo\ eminent, otlico upon tho land described mi the fifth schedule, and sot aside for t hat purpose, the land would revert to the Harbour Hoard on repayment Io the Government of the sum paid by tho Government to the Hoard for ihe land. Alter a brief discussion the live years was increased to nine, and as ro amended the clause was agreed to. The Bill parsed through Committeo without further amendment. (Loft sitting.)
