WELLINGTON REP. TEAM.
At yesterday's meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Hugh}' Union it was decided, on the motion of Mr. J. T. King, seconded by Rev. Father Hickson, to appoint Mr. T. E,. Ellison as manager of the Wellington representative team on its northern tour. The proposer and Messrs. Bate, Galbraith, and Coffey spoke highly of Mr. Ellison's qualifications for the position, and the great advantage to the team of having at its head such an experienced footballer. Very great satisfaction is expressed iv football circles at Mr. Ellison having consented to fill the position, though at some personal sacrifice. On the recommendation of the Selection Committee it was decided to send 18 men. C. Campbell, who was chosen captain, is unable to accompany the team on tour. Some little difficulty is being experienced in getting the requisite leave for two other players. Mr. W. Coffey, a member of the Union, who went away with last season's Wellington team on its Southern tour, will also accompany the present team in its travels /
