» [BY TELEGKAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, 201 h July. At the inquest held on the body of the twiner W. Hancock, who was killed by fulling down a shaft 100 ft deep at tho Wailii Consolidated mine, a verdict of Accidental .Heath was returned. Hancock had a contract which was not paying, and he went tlown the .shaft intending, if the face of the drive had not softened, to throw up the contract. Ho leaves a widow and four children, the j'oungest being an infant. I)u;{ici>in, Tuts Day. John Kenyon was killed at Blue Spur through his horses bolting and overturning the trap down a sideling ••evenly feet deep. He leaves a widow but no family. Mr. Owen, traveller for Messrs. Bing, Harris, & Co., miraculously escaped.
