3 [PBEBS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, 30th April. The Chairman of the Agricultural Hall Company has received a letter from Meesrs. Sargood, Son & E wen, enclosing £100 towards the general funds of the company, the writers expressing a hope that it may prove acceptable towards the end in view — namely, eventually to hand over the building to the Otago A. and P. Society for the benefit of the city. New Plymouth, This Day. The Rev. F. G. Evans was formally instituted vicar of St. Mary's Parish yesterday, in succession to the Yen. Archdeacon Govett. Waipawa, This Day. The early train from Napier broke down at Te Ante, and was brought to Kaikora by the express. The pipe of the boiler bad burst.
