« MORTALITY IN CALCUTTA. SERIOUS RIOTS IN A BOMBAY TOWN. BLOODSHED ON BOTH SIDES. [press association.] (Received May 2, 10.15 a.m.) Calcutta, Ist May. Twelve deaihs have occurrred in Calcutta from the bubonic plague. Serious plague riots have occurred at Garshandar, in the Bombay Presidency, 26 policemen being wounded. The police fired upon the rioters, killing 9 and wounding 27.
