On FRIDAY, 31&tDecember, the 10.5 p.m. train, Te Aro to Lower Hutt. will not run, but trains will run between- those stations as on Saturday nights. On NEW YEAR'S DAY the ordinary timetable between Te Aro and Woodvillo will be suspended, with the exception of mail trains, Te Aro to Napier and Napier to Te Aro, whioh will run as usual, but excursion tickets will NOT be issued from Te Aro, Lower Hutt, or intermediate stations, to Featherston, Fernside, Woodside, Greytoivn, Mataraiva, Dalefield, Carterton, Clareville, Kurupuni, or Masterlon, by the North mail train, nor will excursion tickets be available from the above stations by the South mail train. Excursionists wishing to travel to or from these stations will use the train leaving Te Aro at 7.55 a.m., Wellington ! 8.10, Lower Hutt 8.41 ,0.111., arriving at Featherston at 11.16 a.m., Qreytown, 11.44, Cartertbn 12 noon, and Masterton 12.30, and the return train leaving Masterton at 5.10 p.m., Uarterton 5.40, Qreytown 5.50, Feathertton 6.25 p.m., arriving at Wellington at 9.48 and Te Aro 10.0 p m. The 5.15- p.m. train from Longbum will not atop at Makerua, Hautere, Hadfield, Otaihanga, Tawa Flat,' or Crofton. The 7.10 a.m. train from Wellington will run as far as Ohau only-, and the train arriving in Wellington at 9.0 p.m. will start from Ohau, stopping at Ransfield's Crossing both ways, DAY RETURN TICKETS, Available for Ist January, 1898, will be issued from Wellington to stations on Company's line-as- far as Paikakariki. The same fares from Paikakariki and intermediate stations to Wellington. Holiday Excursion Tiokets will be issued from the 20th December, 1897, to the 4th January, 1898, both days inolusive, over the Company's line and the Napier-Taranaki Railways (with liberty to break the journey after the passenger has travelled 25 miles from the original starting station), available for return till Ist February, 1898.
