TO-DAY'S PARLIAMENT.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. This Morning's Sitting, the approach of the end. The Standing Orders were suspended for the remainder of the session to enable Bills to pass through all their stages at one sitting. THE VICTORIA COLLEGE BILL. The Hons. R. Oliver, J. MacGregor, and W. Montgomery were appointed managers for the Council at the conference with the Lower House on the Victoria College Bill, the time of conference being 2 p.m. to-day. VARIOUS BILLS. The Wellington Boys' Institute Bill, the Bluff Harbour Board Empowering Bill, the Kohukohu Foreshore Reservation Bill, the Borough of Lyttelton Corporation Enabling Bill, and the Wellington Education Board Transfer and Reserve Bill were read a second time. The Kapiti Island Public Reserve Bill was read a second time pro forma. The Government Railway Department Classification Amendment Bill was read a first time. At noon the Council adjourned till 2.30 p.m.
