A CCIDENTS AND FATALITIES [BY TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, 20th December.
Mrs. A. Lynskey, wife of a labourer, who left her home at 3.30 a.m. on the 22nd ult., and has been missing ever since, was found dead in the bush at Mount Eden. It is supposed that she was suffering from mental aberration. At the inquest a verdict of Found Dead was returned. v The child Ivy Patterson, the victim of the fire at Archhill on Saturday, has died of her injuries. Mrs. Patterson is recovering from the burns she received in endeavouring to extinguish the burning clothing of her daughter. The body of Samuel Jamieson, a wellknown miner from Nelson Creek, was found floating in the lagoon at Greymouth one da} r last week. The body had evidently been iv the water for a considerable time. His friends in Greymonth considered he had gone home, while the Nelson Creek folk believed him to be still in town. Kawata, an Otaki native, 24 years of age, died suddenly at Waikawa, whilst in an epileptic fit, on Saturday. Deceased had bee subject to these fits for years, and Mr. W. H. Simcox, Coroner, did not consider an inquest necessary. An inquest was held at the Mount View Asylum yesterday touching the death of a youth named John Jacobs, who had been an inmate of the institution for some five years. A verdict was returned in accordance with the medical testimony, which was to the effect that deceased died through tubercular disease of the bowels.
