The following players havo been selected . to represent Auckland in the match against Canterbury :— Dr. Pabst, and Messrs. J. A. Kallender, G. Mills, I. Mills, D. Hay, A. M. Labatt, R. Neill, D. Clayton, W. Slemson, E. Wright, F. E. Kelly. Messrs. Lundon, Wynyard, Marshall, and Ohlson notified tho committee that they would be unable to play if chosen.
Johnsonville defeated Cambridge in a Junior Association match on Saturday by eight wiokets. The scores were — Johnsonville, 42 and 30 for two wickets ; Cambridge, 25 and 55. For the former, Picken made 13, W. Eason 22, and L. Retter 10 ; for the latter, Babington made 14, M'Kinnon 12, and Luke 10. J. Moore, nine wickets for 25 runs, and A. Moore, four for 7, did the best bowling for Johnsonville. { j&St. James's defeated St. Peter's. For the winners Fred and Frank Alpe batted well, whilst Haslam was the best of the bowlers.
