[By Clbek.] For the second time this season the Silver Cleek competition resulted in a tie. The winner will be selected in the play-off between Mr. J. Duncan, whose score was 89—12—77; and Mr. F.Hareourt, 97-20 — 77. Considering the high wind, the scores were good. The best gross score was that of Mr. A. Duncan, who went round in 76. As the days grow longer it is to be hoped that competitions over IS holes will be more common. The new holes^improve slowly, but would be all the better for being moro regularly played over. The club championship, which takes place next month, should be played over 18 holes. The coming Championship Meeting revives painful memories of the Daniells Cup. Neither the cup nor any remnant of it has ever been seen again. You may bribe, or may play for the cup if you will, But the wily old burglar will cling to it still. When Moore wrote the original of that ha had not been deprived of his cheering cup, or his verses might have been as bad. The ladies hold a Driving and Approaching Competition during the week, which resulted as follows :— Driving, Miss Johnston, 133 and 106 yards, 1 ; Miss Robo, 94 and 93 yards, 2 ; Miss Coopor, 70 and 94 yards, 3. The Approaching was won by Miss Cooper. The Ladies' Championship, which is to b« decided by the aggregate of three medal rounds, will begin on Saturday (27th). HEADACHE. BACKACHE, INDIGESTION, FLATULENCE, SOUR STOMACH & LIVER COMPLAINT, PROMPTLY CURED BY CLEMENTS TONIC
