I [PEESS ASSOCIATION. | London, 21st July. i The American visible wheat supply is estimated at 22,128,000 bushels. At to-day's wool sales prices were firm, though faulty sorts showed irregularity. (Received July 23, 10 a.m.) London, 22nd July. At the wool sales to-day there was keen competition. The prices obtained for scoured and greasy wools were the highest during the present series.

The following London market cable was received yesterday by the New Zealand Loan and Meroantile Agency Company, Limited : — The wool sales progress firmly. Since opening of sales greasy merino super, fino and medium greasy crossbred, medium , washed and scoured crossbred, coarse greasy, washed and scoured crossbred and crossbred slipe aro par to Jd per lb lower ; washed and scoured merino super,' medium, and inferior, and greasy merino medium and inferior, and merino slipe, are par to |d per lb higher. Other descriptions unolianged. Competition by both Home and foreign buyers is active, but there is no Ainerioan demand. The total quantity catalogued to date is 173,000 bales, of which 10,000 bales have boen withdrawn. There is a rather better demand for tallow. Messrs. A. G. Tame & Co. report on the Wellington stook, skin, and property markets for the week ending 23rd July : — Fat sheepOwing to the demand from the South, the price is gradually firming, and prime heavy wethers can now be quoted from Us 9d to 13s ; medium, 10s 6d to Us ; ewes. 103 6d to lie 6d for heavy-weights, Store sheep— A few good sales lave been made lately. Wethers, very fresh, 10s ; good. stores, 8s to 9s; hoggets, best 7s 6d to 8s 6d, 1 medium 6s 6d , we have sold ewes, mixed ages, 7s to 7s fcid. Fat cattle — Beef is still plentiful at 15s for very prime. Dairy cattlo — Good young cows, ju»t calved or on calving, are now selling better at up to £7 ; heifers, .£4 to 435. Store cattler-Nothing doing except in yousg stock. Sales .- Weaners, 20s to 255 , good yearlings, 28s to 32s 6dj two-year steers, 60s to 555. Pigs — Only baconers seljing, at 32s 6d to 355 ; porkers, 20s to 225 , yo*ng stores, 5a to Bs. Property— Since our lost report we have had numerous enquiries for town properties, and have now under offer a number of places to various clients, and will report saj.es next week. Country property is also looking up, and we would ask those wishing to sell to send us particulars. We hold our next stock sale at Lower Hutt yards on Tuesday next, when we shall offer fcheep, dairy heifers, and other stook. Sheepskins have been slow ot late in coming in. I Beat green skins are now worth 4s to ss ; dry skins, with pelts well looked after, 4id to sid per lb — a shade more for anything special.
