In accordance with the decision of the Appeal Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union in reference to the W'elling-ton-Poueke match, the Management .Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union has resolved that the match will have to be replayed. The transfer of H.B. Willis from., the first fifteen to the second fifteen of the Wellington Club has been granted by the Committee, S. Tripe to take his place. With, regard to the statements made as to the conduct of the Petoneteam at CartertOn, the Committee is of opinion that there was misconduct, but as the offenders could not be identified the charge against any individual could not be proved. The Wairarapa Union is to be informed that a date for the visit of the Wellington team to the Wairarapa cannot be fixed until replies have been received from the Unions which propose to send teams to Wellington this season.

As the Garrison Band has signified its desire to give a performance at the Basin Reserve on Sunday next for the benefit of ,the Wilkinson family, and the City Bra>s Band had permission to play in tho Newtown Park on the same day, the City Council has^ been asked to allow the latter to postpone its concert till the following Sunda)', Ist August. This arrangement is the mutual desire of both, parties. It was quite unintentional that both were arranged tor the same day.
