OBITUARY.
« [bt telegbaph— phess association.] Auckland. This Dat. Captain Bongard, master of the mission yacht Southern Cross, died this morning after a long illness. He had been connected with the mission 21 years, joining the second Southern Cross as mate in IS7I. He became captain of the third vessel in ISB4, and brought out the present 3 r acht in 1592.
