Thanks 1o the late rain causing a flood in the river, the Aorere was successfully floated off yesterday and steamed up to the wharf. It is understood that little or no damage has been sustained. The local agents— Messrs. W. and G. Turnbull <fc Co.— are advised from Patea that the Aorert is. slightly leaking irom the effects of the recent stranding. She is to leave for Wellington to-morow morning, and on her arrival will be placed on the Patent Slip for an inspection. Messrs. .1 ohnston & Co. are advised that the Oreti luis been floated off the sandbank in the Wanganui River, and sails for Wellington this evening.
