ANGUS, Hon. Sec. j TO THE ELECTORS iOF THE CITY OF WELLINGTON. T ADIES AND GENTLEMEN.-I sinJLJ cerely thank you for re-electing me as one of your representatives. Considering that I had arrayed against me all the power and influence that a politically corrupt and unscrupulous < Ministry could exercise, many of the organised Labour Unions, and the Liquor Party, it is surprising that I was returned. The unholy alliance between many of the workers and liquor should be an eye-opener to those who are engaged in manual labour, and also to those who deeply sympathise with the workers in their efforts to improve their condition. I have to especially thank my Executive Committees and the others who so generously and assiduously devoted so much of their time in working on my_ behalf, and also those friends who were kind enough to place vehicles at my disposal. I feel I owo them a debt of gratitude I cannot hope to repay. lam, &c, ROBERT STOUT. WELLINGTON CITY ELECTION.
