At the instance of a deputatibn of commercial men the Agents - General have promised to direct the attention of the colonies to the proposal to codify the commercial law. The World's Congress of Socialist workers has admitted Anarchists to its meetings. Capetown, 30th July. The Cape Assembly, by a majority of one, refused Mr. Harris, of Chartered Company celebrity, leave of absence, and his seat has consequently been forfeited.
