A fire at Onehunga destroyed the promises of Morton and Sons, general storekeepers, and M'Kenzie's house adjoining. In the oase of attempted embezzlement against Andrew Wedderapoon, late traveller for Briscoe & Co., the Justices failed to agree, one favouring a committal and the other acquittal. The Justices met this afternoon to consider how they should aot, but still oonld not agree, and adjourned the oase.
