TO-MORROW'S REGATTA.

? To-morrow being Anniversary Day, the annual regatta of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club will be held. Between 40 and 50 boats will be competing, and if the weather is favourable there should be some exoellent raoing. The course for the First-class Yacht Baoe will be 27 miles, while that for the secondclass yachts will be 24 miles. The Waitangi, which is tbe favourite for the Firit-clasa Yacht Race, is to be sailed by Mr. M'Comish, one of her crew. He has been in her sinoe she was launched, and as he is an old Auokland yachtsman he will, no doubt, be able to give a good account of himself. Mr. G. Martin 'will be at the Maritana'i tiller, and the Ngaira will be sailed by her owner (Mr. J. H. H. Jack). The Penguin, whioh has been engaged to follow the racoa, will start on her first trip at 10.30 a.m. The Committee has arranged with Messrs. T. Collins and W. J. Osborne to handicap tte 18ft and 14ft boats, as it is found impossible, owing to the absenoe of the necessary data, to make the usual time allowance according to sail area.
